Nha Trang
Hailed as the ‘Beach Capital’ of Vietnam, Nha Trang has a stunning stretch of soft-white sand and azure-blue water leading to a smattering of offshore islands perfect for watersports, snorkelling, diving and boat-trips. Worth a trip is the Thap Ba Hot Spring Center just outside of town. Here you get the unique chance to wallow in a wooden bathtub filled with thermal mud! If you fancy a bit of kitsch fun at Vietnam’s version of Disneyland, pay a visit to Vinpearl Land, an amusement park that features funfair rides; a water park; an Underwater World aquarium; a rollercoaster; the world’s longest over-the-sea cable car and the biggest wave pool in Southeast Asia.
Nha Trang also offers culture in the form of the Po Nagar Cham Towers (a Cham-people Hindu worship site dating back to the 7th Century); the National Oceanographic Museum and a selection of Photographic Galleries.
Last, but certainly not least, Nha Trang is a popular party town full of late-night bars and clubs ranging from cool and casual to sophisticated.
